Harbourfront is where the city skyline meets the lake—and where I go when I need a dose of open biking road near the water. I love hopping on my bike for a ride along the Waterfront Trail, catching those unbeatable skyline views, and when I really need to clear my head, I ferry over to the Island for some zen and a picnic in the sun. Bonus? Max knows I’ll never say no to a stop for a Beavertail on the way back. Never.

The Real Estate Scoop

Thinking of calling Harbourfront home? There’s a lot to love—and a lot to choose from. Most of the inventory here is condos, ranging from compact bachelor pads to expansive penthouses with sweeping lake views and front-row seats to the CN Tower’s nightly light show. It’s an area that appeals to first-time buyers, investors, and downsizers alike.

From a real estate perspective, the perks are legit: direct access to the waterfront trail, a short walk to the streetcar and Union Station, and quick access to the Financial District, Queen West, and the city’s best entertainment. Plus, you’re steps from the Island ferry, Harbourfront Centre, and—hello—Billy Bishop Airport. (Weekend in NYC, anyone?)

The glassy towers here may look similar from the outside, but inside you’ll find variety: soaring ceilings, private terraces, smart floor plans, and those all-important views of water, city—or both. And with the area undergoing a multi-million dollar revitalization, it’s only getting better.

The Neighbourhood

Life here is all about balance. Need some peace and quiet? You’ve got the lake. Want nightlife and energy? The core is right behind you. Want to throw on skates? Head to the Natrel Rink for lakeside winter vibes and DJ-backed skate nights. In summer, grab gelato, check out the Harbourfront Centre events, or catch a Jays game just up the street.

You can walk to groceries, cafes, dry cleaners, and banks—yes, even that Starbucks you’re thinking of right now. Whether you’re downsizing, investing, or just craving that lake breeze lifestyle, Harbourfront is one of Toronto’s most liveable pockets. (And trust me—it’s even better when the Beavertail stand is open.)
